FPGA Design Engineer

A successful Start-Up has developed an advanced wireless communication system based on RF technology for the algorithmic trading industry.

The role includes developing a wireless modem for the next generation of the company’s products, as well as the design and implementation of complex FPGA modules, which form the core of the company's communication system.

As part of the role, you will be responsible for defining, architecting, and developing FPGA modules, designing micro-architecture, and performing RTL coding. The position also involves working on simulation, debugging, and FPGA backend tasks such as synthesis and timing closure.

The role requires close collaboration with diverse development teams across the company.

The company is based in Tel Aviv, with a hybrid work model — two days a week from home.

The company currently employs around 50-60 people.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering from leading universities with emphasis on signal-processing/communication.
• 3+ years of experience in digital design, communications, networking, and DSP block development.
• Excellent teamwork and independent working abilities.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong background in FPGA development and Xilinx tools.
• Advantages
• Knowledge of SystemVerilog.
• Background in board design (digital, analog).
• Familiarity with Linux.
• Understanding of UVM (Universal Verification Methodology).
• Experience in lab work (debugging, communication measurement equipment).
