Quality Engineer & Release Manager

About the Role

At ai.work, we are redefining internal service and operations with an Agentic AI-first automation platform. As we scale, we need a hands-on Quality Engineer who can drive both application quality assurance and release management activities.

As the Quality Engineer, you'll work closely with our engineering team, Product Management, Designers, Solution Engineers, and when necessary, interface directly with customers.

• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans aligned with product roadmaps
• Collaborate with Engineering to plan and execute tests for new and existing features
• Act as quality gatekeeper for releases, managing content and deadlines
• Support Product in tracking and fulfilling customer-specific commitments and releases
• Triage bugs and prioritize quality efforts
• Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks
• Facilitate retrospective meetings on product bugs and incidents
• Monitor system performance and stability post-deployment

A brilliant, curious, and innovative Quality Assurance professional

• 3+ years of experience working as a Quality Engineer performing both automated and manual testing
• Proficiency in writing scalable and reusable E2E tests, preferably with Playwright
• Technical mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional end-user experiences
• Proven experience with Release Management while collaborating with diverse stakeholders
• Comfort using AI productivity tools as part of your daily workflows
• Organized, self-motivated, loyal, team player, and high-performing

• Good understanding of CI/CD processes
• Cloud understanding, AWS in particular
• Experience with complex, event-based systems
• Experience with databases, cache systems, and realtime applications
• React.js experience and general front-end understanding
• Experience with performance testing and monitoring tools
• Understanding of testing AI, generative AI, and LLM products
