The Sharp Lab at Bar-Ilan University is looking for a PhD student to conduct leading work in computational cognitive neuroscience. Our lab develops algorithms of learning and planning and their disruption in mental health disorders. Our recent work has been published in the field’s top outlets, including Nature Human Behaviour and Trends in Cognitive Sciences.
Resources: Bar-Ilan University offers fantastic neuroscience and psychology resources, including cutting-edge OPM-MEG scanner and recent $260 million donation to fund AI research. Our lab specifically has purchased the Somnium VR1 virtual reality headset, and will be building VR-based experiments to model computationally.
Eligibility: We are looking for individuals with a background in psychology or neuroscience who are passionate about advancing research in learning, planning, decision-making, or anxiety and have coding experience.
