Software Group Manager

As the Group Leader, you will be responsible for the technical and managerial leadership of a team of 15 engineers spanning web, mobile, and DevOps disciplines.

• Key Responsibilities

• Team Management & Leadership:

o Lead, manage, and mentor two software teams (Web/Mobile Development and DevOps).

o Foster a collaborative, innovative, and growth-oriented team culture.

o Ensure clear communication between teams and stakeholders.

• Technical Oversight & Strategy:

o Oversee the architecture and development of web and mobile applications, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and performant.

o Provide guidance and direction on DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud operations.

o Collaborate with Product, Hardware, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration of software with hardware products.

• Project Delivery:

o Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of projects and features.

o Monitor team performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency.

o Manage resource allocation across teams to meet organizational priorities.

• Continuous Improvement:

o Drive adoption of modern technologies and best practices across teams.

o Encourage continuous learning and professional development within the team.

Must-Have Skills and Experience:

• Leadership:

o 2+ years in a leadership role managing multiple teams or a group of developers.

o Proven ability to mentor and grow engineering talent.

• Technical Expertise:

o 7+ years of software development experience, with expertise in web or mobile application development.

o Strong experience with modern web frameworks (e.g., Vue.js or React) and backend frameworks (Node.js, preferably NestJS).

o Proficiency with TypeScript and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).

o Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes.

• Nice to Have:

• Experience with PHP

• Hands-on experience with Kafka and microservices architecture.

• Expertise in Terraform and infrastructure as code.

• Familiarity with mobile development frameworks and practices.

• Soft Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strategic mindset with the ability to prioritize and balance competing demands. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
