Software Engineering Team Leader

Location: Herzliya Pituach

Work Model: Hybrid, with two workdays from home.

Reporting Structure:

The Software Engineering Team Leader will report to the Core Group Director, who reports directly to the VP of R&D.

We are seeking a talented and passionate Software Engineering Team Leader to join a dynamic Core group. This role involves leading a team in designing, developing, and optimizing mission-critical, high-performance, multi-threaded, clustered server-side products in C++ on the Linux platform.

Responsibilities:

• Feature Implementation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features for advanced storage solutions.
• Technical Leadership: Own large, multi-disciplinary features, guiding the team through impactful product changes.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure existing features meet high standards of speed and efficiency.
• Infrastructure Enhancement: Lead efforts to improve and maintain a robust and scalable infrastructure.
• Algorithm Development: Debug, own, and refine features relying on complex algorithms.
• Team Development: Manage and mentor a team of 2-5 engineers, assisting with challenging aspects of software design, implementation, and debugging.
• Hands-On Contribution: Maintain 50% hands-on involvement in development and debugging tasks.

Requirements:

• C/C++ Proficiency: At least 7 years of hands-on coding experience in C/C++.
• Leadership Experience: Minimum of 2 years managing a development team.
• Educational Background: BSc in Computer Science or an equivalent degree.
• Server-Side Expertise: Proven experience in server-side development.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong technical problem-solving capabilities.
• Self-Motivation: Proactive and eager to learn new technologies.
• Code Mastery: Ability to read and understand large existing codebases.
• Growth-Oriented Mindset: Commitment to gaining experience in new domains and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Storage Technologies: Familiarity with storage systems and concepts.
• Python Skills: Experience in Python programming.
• Performance Optimization: Expertise in high-performance software development.
• Enterprise Software Development: Previous experience with enterprise-class, mission-critical software.
