Software Engineering Team Lead

A startup company specializing in innovative cloud cybersecurity solutions, the company’s cloud-based security platform integrates advanced analytics to detect and assess cyber threats while leveraging cutting-edge technologies in Big Data and Machine Learning. They connect to all cloud environments, providing comprehensive protection for customers operating workloads in the public cloud with multi-layered defenses that secure the cloud ecosystem.

Located in Ramat Gan within walking distance from the train station and offers a hybrid work model with two work-from-home days per week.

Established in 2022, the company has a strong financial backing and a substantial customer base. The team currently includes 40 employees.

Role Overview:

The position involves managing a team of 4-5 Backend Developers, reporting to the Director of Engineering. Responsibilities include approximately 50% hands-on work, system design, and code reviews. The team develops cloud-based Big Data cybersecurity systems using Java and Go in equal proportions.

The tech stack includes:

• Big Data frameworks: Flink, Spark, Airflow
• Cloud and containerization: Kubernetes, Redshift, AWS Athena, Kinesis Streams

Requirements -

• 5 years of hands-on coding experience, preferably in Java, GO.
• 3 years of experience leading and growing engineering teams.
• Solid technical background in software engineering, architecture, and design.
• Proven ability to coach and mentor engineers.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and staying out of the comfort zone.
• An excellent collaborator with great communication skills, who can lead others, both formally and informally.
• Experience with a Cloud environment (AWS/Azure/GCP) – big advantage for AWS.
