Head of IT Infrastructure Engineering and Projects

Our Information Technology Center (ITC) is looking for a Head of IT Infrastructure Engineering and Projects. This role involves leading the development and management of computing infrastructures, overseeing budgets, managing procurement, and coordinating with external vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain computing infrastructure, manage budgets, procurement, and external supplier agreements.
• Analyze and understand specialized systems for company operations.
• Manage support services and perform feasibility testing, systems integration, and implementation of computing solutions (virtualization, cloud services, HPC).
• Develop and implement procedures and processes; conduct professional training in computing fields.
• Assess new systems and technologies; prepare strategic recommendations for computing infrastructure planning, setup, maintenance, and operations.
• Initiate and lead organization-wide engineering technology projects; oversee engineering software development teams.
• Directly manage a team of approximately 15 employees.
• Report to the Head of the Department.

Requirements:

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Israeli citizenship.
• Relevant academic or engineering education.
• At least 5 years of experience in management, project management, or business/operational team leadership.
• 5+ years of experience in managing and overseeing computing projects, creating and tracking work plans.
• Familiarity with IT systems development and maintenance, databases, and information security.
• Proven experience managing negotiations and leading a team of at least 5 employees.
• Full proficiency in English.
