Head of IT Infrastructure

Head of Core Infrastructure | Leading Healthcare Organization | Central Israel

A leading healthcare organization is looking for a Head of Core Infrastructure to lead its mission-critical enterprise infrastructure domain and manage managers and expert technology teams across multiple core infrastructure environments.

This is a senior technology leadership role with responsibility for enterprise compute infrastructure, storage, virtualization, backup, IBM Power / AS400, SAP infrastructure, Data Centers, and business continuity, alongside long-term technology strategy and modernization.

What You'll Do

• Lead managers and expert technology teams across three core infrastructure domains
• Take overall responsibility for compute, storage, virtualization, and backup infrastructure
• Lead IBM Power / AS400 infrastructure operations and lifecycle management
• Oversee SAP and SAP HANA infrastructure, ensuring availability, performance, and resilience
• Define and execute a multi-year technology strategy and infrastructure roadmap
• Build annual work plans and budgets, define objectives, priorities, and performance metrics
• Ensure availability, capacity, performance, security, and resilience of mission-critical infrastructure
• Lead Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery programs, including BCP and DRP
• Manage Data Center infrastructure across multiple hosting facilities
• Lead complex, large-scale infrastructure projects and modernization initiatives
• Manage strategic technology vendors, engagements, and procurement
• Identify infrastructure risks and drive initiatives to strengthen operational resilience
• Partner with Development, Integration, Technology, and business teams
• Present plans, status updates, risks, and recommendations to senior management
• Drive standardization, automation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement
• Promote the adoption of AI capabilities and AI Agents to improve infrastructure operations, availability, and project delivery

What We're Looking For

• At least 10 years of experience in IT Infrastructure within Enterprise environments – required
• At least 5 years of experience managing managers and leading technology teams – required
• Significant experience managing enterprise servers, storage, virtualization, and backup infrastructure
• Experience managing or leading IBM Power / AS400 environments
• Experience working with SAP and SAP HANA infrastructure
• Experience managing Data Centers, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery
• Proven experience leading complex, large-scale technology projects
• Experience working closely with Development teams and business stakeholders
• Strong leadership and change-management capabilities
• Broad strategic, technological, and business perspective
• Ability to lead in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
• Strong decision-making capabilities under pressure and uncertainty
