Data Analyst

Zencity is re-inventing the way governments listen to, understand, and interact with their residents. Our community trust platform uses advanced Natural Language Processing, ML algorithms and generative AI to help government organizations hear from more citizens, be more data-driven and increase resident satisfaction.

As a Data Analyst at Zencity, you will play a pivotal role in our Professional Services team, delivering specialized value and expertise to customers using the Zencity platform. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze large amounts of qualitative and quantitative information to produce custom deliverables that aid local government leaders in understanding their residents’ priorities and concerns. You will work in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to create new offerings for clients as Zencity’s platform continuously improves.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth analysis of data collected from multiple sources, such as social media, online forums, representative and non-representative surveys.
• Create concise reports and engaging visuals to summarize and present large amounts of information in a clear and actionable manner.
• Contribute to the development of best practices, streamline processes, and support the automation and productization of analytical tools.
• Work closely with the Customer Success team to complete client requests for deliverables in a timely manner.
• Participate in additional long-term projects with the goal of promoting the team or the company.
  
  

• 1-3 years of experience with research, professional services, or data analysis
• Excellent English writing skills
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization in Excel
• Experience presenting findings to stakeholders
• Experience working in a fast-paced working environment
• Experience working in a service-oriented and client-focused environment
• Ability to work independently and consistently meet daily and weekly deadlines
  
  

• Proficiency in SQL and/ or Python
• Knowledge of American local government and public policy
