Glasner lab focuses on decoding the complex cellular networks within the tumor microenvironment (TME). We are studying the interactions between immune cells and the various hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cellular populations of the TME. While we investigate various immune cell roles, we emphasize regulatory T (Treg) cells due to their potential in immunotherapy research. Our work explores their mechanisms of action and interactions with surrounding cells, aiming to identify novel therapeutic strategies.
By leveraging cutting-edge methods, including genetic models, ex-vivo tumor slice cultures and organoid models from mouse and human tumors, high-throughput imaging, and single-cell omics, we aim to understand these dynamics better and drive the development of more effective immunotherapies.
We seek excellent, highly motivated hard-working PhD and MD PhD students.
