Software Team Lead

A fintech startup developing advanced financial services for end-users and international financial institutions. They created a digital account app tailored to underserved populations, such as migrant workers and other groups in Israeli society that don't receive adequate support from the existing financial system.

Additionally, they've developed a B2B product offering end-to-end cross-border payment solutions for international financial institutions via API—facilitating real-time money transfers using the latest technologies!

The company’s products serve tens of thousands of customers each month, and their financial network spans nearly a hundred countries with various payment methods.

The company is funded by financially strong investors but doesn’t rely solely on investment funds, having tens of thousands of active customers.

Located in Tel Aviv, with one work-from-home day. They have around 90 employees, including 20 in R&D.

Tech Stack: Kotlin, Python, Java, Tableau, SQL, Linux, AWS, Big Data, NoSQL, Redshift, BigQuery.

Role Overview:

• Set up and build a new team from scratch, consisting of around 5 developers.
• Report directly to the VP of R&D.
• The team is currently vacant, but members may transition from other teams.
• Around 50% hands-on development as needed.
• Focus on backend development in Java.
• Work in an AWS environment on Linux.
• Over time, reduce hands-on involvement to lead the team:
• End-to-end leadership both personally and professionally.
• Monitor team performance.
• Implement new technologies.
• Design and plan complex features.
• Understand and contribute to the business context.

Requirements-

● Excellent interpersonal skills, humanity and proven leadership skills in an agile and dynamic environment.

● BSc in Computer Science or equivalent

● 7 Years of software development experience.

● Two years of experience managing people.

● Experience in working on large scale backend projects, and a deep understanding of microservices architecture, cloud environments, performance and more.
