A PhD research position in high energy nuclear/particle physics (experimental) is available. There are multiple projects, including data analysis and the execution of experiments at accelerator facilities. The study focuses on proton structure and/or medium modifications in a nuclear environment. The successful candidate is expected to undertake a four-year research project that will involve multiple travels to accelerator facilities.
Responsibilities
Conduct data analysis and simulations. Perform laboratory measurements using fast electronics and participate in experiments at accelerator facilities.
Qualifications
Required skills: Ability to work independently and be a deep thinker. Familiarity with data analysis using coding tools such as CERN/ROOT (based on C/C++ and Python). Experience with Geant4 is an advantage.
