Business Development Manager - Information and Communication Systems field for a Tech Transfer unit in the North

Role Description:

- Identifying and evaluating technologies and applied research in academy for commercial pipeline construction.

- Comprehensive market analysis including competitors, trends, and key players in the industry.

- Preparation of technology summaries, presentations, and marketing materials and presenting them to target audiences for commercialization.

- Responsibility and participation in decision-making processes regarding patent protection in the field.

- Establishing contact and collaboration with researchers, identifying milestones for development, and building research and commercialization strategies.

- Leading the commercialization of scientific projects from academia to industry in the field.

- Developing and managing business/professional partnerships with leading companies in their respective fields in Israel and abroad.

- Engaging with entrepreneurs to identify projects and promote the establishment of incubated companies.

- Liaising with senior positions in business development and R&D in leading Information and Communication Systems companies in Israel and abroad.

- Negotiating and leading licensing agreements and other transactions on behalf of the organization with a variety of potential partners.

- Liaison with government bodies and the Chief Scientist's Office for funding applied projects in academia and collaboration between academia and industry.

Requirements:

- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science – mandatory.

- Additional degree in Business Administration/Law – advantage.

- Proven experience in business development of projects in the field.

- Background in scientific fields as well as business activity and strategy.

- Experience in negotiation and contracts.

- Experience in leading R&D of innovative products in the field – advantage.

- Experience working with innovation authority grants (Kamin, Nofar, Magnet, etc.) – advantage.

- Familiarity with patent writing and protection processes.

- High-level English proficiency (written and spoken).

- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.

- High motivation and energy, action-oriented/problem-solving personality.

- High abilities in managing and integrating multiple tasks.
