Data Scientist

A startup company is developing a product that identifies location like GPS but with centimeter-level accuracy indoors, even in places without GPS reception, using wireless coverage based on Wi-Fi. The solution is powered by a new mobile wireless location sensor based on patented detection technology.

The company is located in Tel Aviv near a railway line, has 29 employees, and is growing.

Role description: Join as part of a team, working with classical methods of signal processing for navigation systems, DSP, RF, and in some teams, including work with Machine Learning and Python, Pandas, NumPy. The focus is primarily on research and development of algorithms in the fields of Navigation, Robotics, Big Data, IoT, Sensors, and Signal Processing.

Requirements-

• Academic degree in a quantitative field (Applied Math, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Statistics, etc.

• 3 years of work experience in algorithms research and development, applying models and data analysis, preferably in startup environment. Excellent graduates with advanced degree and with extensive applied research experience can be considered as well.

• Experience in applied scientific research is highly preferable.

• Previous experience in full development cycle for algorithms implementation (from research and analysis of experimental data through intensive debugging and testing to official SW product release) is big advantage.

• Extensive knowledge in statistical data analysis methods and/or statistical signal processing, estimation theory, data and sensors fusion.
