Software Engineering Team Lead

Madlan is a real estate platform revolutionizing the way people buy and rent homes in Israel. As a leading marketplace and a valuable tool for both agents & buyers, Madlan provides useful information, using big data algorithms & artificial intelligence that facilitates the purchase of real estate with greater transparency & trust.

We're looking for a skilled Team Leader to join us as we rapidly expand the services provided to our ever growing customer base.

You will lead a strong team of 4 talents (Back-End, Front-End ,QA), use state-of-the-art technology stack (Microservices architecture, Node.js, React, React Native, Typescript, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis, java, K8, and AWS as a cloud vendor) and help drive & build a variety of products. This is a fast moving team that deploy several features to production on a weekly basis.

This role will provide you with an opportunity to shape our tech roadmap & impact our business first hand. You will:

• Lead a diverse team of developers, working on large-scale, complex, and cutting-edge systems.
• Ensure that risks and issues are identified and managed closely while driving all team members to deliver on time and to the required quality standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, devops, and data teams, providing feedback to improve feature outcomes.
• Develop a deep understanding of the real estate business in Israel

Requirements:

• B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of managerial experience
• Overall 10 years as a software developer.
• Node.js + TypeScript - an advantage.
• Experience working on large-scale projects in the cloud.
• Proven experience measuring and increasing team velocity.
• Cloud vendor experience, preferably with AWS.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (K8s).
• Web development using React.
• Java experience is advantageous.
• GraphQL knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience working with both B2C and B2B is an advantage
