Backend Lead

A data security company in Tel Aviv is looking for a Backend Lead to join them in Tel Aviv. The Backend Lead will be responsible for overseeing backend engineering activities, including the design, development, testing, and maintenance of scalable and efficient systems. This role involves end-to-end responsibility for backend processes, contributing to architectural and technological decisions, and incorporating AI into engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for mentoring and guiding team members, and the ability to lead backend development in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Responsibilities:
* Write high-quality, testable, and efficient code to develop backend systems.
* Lead backend engineering efforts, including system design, implementation, and maintenance.
* Take ownership of technological and architectural decisions for the platform.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven solutions into backend operations.
* Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Technology Stack:
* Programming: Golang for microservices on Kubernetes (GKE).
* AI Integration: OpenAI, private language models, and small language models for constrained devices.
* Workflow Orchestration: Temporal.io.
* CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Dagger.io for CI; Flux and Kustomize for CD.

Requirements:
* At least 5 years of experience in developing SaaS products in a cloud environment.
* Proficiency in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines with 5+ years of hands-on experience.
* Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for 5+ years.
* Proficiency in Go programming is a strong advantage.
* Familiarity with NLP principles is a bonus.
* Experience in fine-tuning AI models is an added advantage.
