Human Resources Manager

Job description: The job of the Human Resource Manager is to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes of the Arava Institute.

The role of Human Resources Manager includes:

• Management of the recruitment, selection, contracting, and on-boarding and off-boarding of employees.
• Bridging management and employee relations including the fostering of a positive work environment.
• Development, engagement, motivation and enrichment of staff.
• Developing clear HR strategies, policies, and systems.
• Management of the performance review system.
• Maintaining pay plan and benefits program.
• Responsibility for the HR and Compensation committees; membership in Institute. Executive Committee.

Skills required:

• Excellent organizational skills.
• Enthusiasm about the vision and the goals of the Arava Institute.
• Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
• English and Hebrew proficiency – required, Arabic an advantage.
• Proven working experience in field of Human Resources – preferred.
• Degree in Human Resources or related field – preferred.
• Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics- preferred.
• Past experience working in multi-cultural work environment – preferred.
• Experience with CRM systems – preferred.

Conditions of employment:

• Half- time employment
• Approximate start of work: immediately
• Partial presence in office – required
