Software Engineering Team Lead

A global tech company has developed advanced technology for digital signage suitable for broadcasting information screens and advertisements. The company is successful and has clients worldwide.

They employ approximately 42 employees and are located in Kfar Saba.

The role involves managing about 5 team members in Israel and globally, with about 30% hands-on work in Java and Angular. (No managerial experience required).

Responsibilities:

- Leading team of Backend (Java) and Frontend (Angular) engineers.

- Collaborate with Product Owner for project planning.

- Ensure high-quality, timely project delivery with the QA team.

- Foster technical excellence through code reviews and mentorship.

- Devise development progress plans for your team of developers.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

- Experience in leading development team

- 5+ years experience in Java backend and frontend (advantage: Angular)

- Experience working with RDBs, like MySQL, Postgres

- In-depth knowledge with code testing methodology ( unit test, integration tests )

- Experience with containerized environments and micro-services (i.e. Docker / Kubernetes)

- Knowledge of build/release systems, CI/CD systems, Jenkins, Git

- Excellent design capabilities: understanding requirements, architectural considerations and ability to design robust solution

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

- The roles requires 40-50% hands-on
