Backend Team Lead

Shield is a global startup, with offices in TLV, NYC, LDN, and LIS.

We’re rapidly growing and looking for another important piece of the puzzle.

As a Team Lead you will lead our Hybrid Team located both in Israel and abroad, and be a significant part of our super professional R&D department.

The team includes 5-6 BE Developers. This is a great opportunity to take our fascinating product to the next level.

On top of the formal requirements written below, we are looking for a positive person with a can-do attitude, someone who wants to take full ownership and be responsible for scaling up the product and the team.

We can’t promise it will be easy, but definitely exciting and most importantly - FUN.

Let’s get down to business:

In this role, you will:

• Design and implement feature requests
• Improve the system's scalability and resiliency
• Help recruit BE developers
• Work closely with the Product Team and Architects
• Support and maintain the production environments
• Mentor new team members
  
  

Requirements:

• At least 3-4 years of experience leading a team in an agile environment (3-5 members) – MUST
• At least 7 years of software development experience, out of which at least 3 years in Java or C# (A must).
• BSC in Computer Science or a relevant field
• Working Experience with SQL Database
• Experienced in designing and implementing RESTful APIs
• Experience with Spring and Hibernate
• Experience in Elastic Stack (ELK) - a big advantage
• Experience in Kafka - a big advantage
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker
• Ability to successfully estimate and plan development efforts.
• Passionate about learning and always seek opportunities to expand your knowledge
• Not afraid to roll up your sleeves and have a “Can Do” attitude
• A team player with organizational skills to also work independently
