What will you do?  

As a VP R&D at Exelerate Smart Traffic you will own the evolution of our next-generation web-based platform. This responsibility includes:

• Own the R&D and technologies associated with the product and domain.
• Build the R&D team and govern the agile development and QA processes.
• Maintenance and ongoing deliveries of the product versions.
• Production support (2nd and 3rd level support).

Required characteristics:

• Passionate, talented Full-Stuck hands-on technical leader.
• BSc/MSc in the field of Computer Science or equivalent.

Required knowledge and experience:

• 10 years’ experience in R&D groups with a minimum of 5 years as team/s manager, preference for development, DBA’s, QA, Data and DevOps teams.
• Agile management experience including leadership of relevant ceremonies and processes.
• Experienced in building and managing off-shore and outsourced teams.
• Experience in NOC management and 24x7 2nd and 3rd level technical support.
• Experienced building and maintaining scalable distributed SaaS platforms, with deep customization for multiple production environments.
• 3 years’ hands-on experience with Angular, React, or similar modern SPA frameworks, solid knowledge of Angular 2+, rx.js, hands-on experience with Spring.Boot, JPA.
• Hands-on experienced building pure-Java multi-threading applications, including the implementation of TCP/IP and UDP proprietary protocols.
• DevOps experience including k8s and docker-compose for Dev and Production environments.
• Experience with SQL (MSSQL) and NoSQL DBs, in-memory DBs (Redis, Aerospike), message brokers (like Kafka, Kinesis) and queues (like RabbitMQ).
• Experience with at least one public Cloud providers - GCP, AWS or Azure.
• Experience with building Data Analytics modules, BI analysis, reporting embedded and external tools.

Knowledge and experience of advantage:

• Experience in working with the public sector (Governments and Municipalities).
• Experience with ISO and SOC-2 implementation.
• Familiarity with GIS maps and analysis tools.
• Familiarity with Elastic ecosystem.
• Familiarity with Node.js, python frameworks.
• Familiarity with Monitoring tools (like CloudWatch, Prometheus and Grafana).
