Senior Food Scientist / Technologist

Oshi is looking for a passionate, skillful and experienced food technologist to join us in the ideation and creation of plant-based fish.

If you are well familiar with all the tricks and tweaks of food, a deep knowledge of food chemistry and interactions between plant proteins and other food ingredients, have leadership skills, with high culinary standards and wish to harness your knowledge for the development next big thing-you are welcome to apply.

Responsibility:

As a senior food technologist at Oshi you will:

• Be a part of a multidisciplinary, highly motivated and unique R&D team
• Help develop new formulations for the plant-based fish
• Be an internal authority on ingredient interactions and experimental planning
• Identify and solve challenges within the lab and in scale up and technology transfer
• Constantly look for new and innovative raw materials and their implementation into formulation
• Lead deep and comprehensive research for obtaining desired texture and flavor
• Characterize materials for their mechanical and thermal and functional properties.
  
  

• B.Sc at Food Technology/Sciences- a must, M.Sc / PhD - an advantage
• At least 5 years of experience in product development / in depth food ingredient knowledge. Deep knowledge of plant proteins an advantage.
• Experience with the development of new and un orthodox food products
• An urge to test new materials
• Experience in alternative/ plant-based meat company- great advantage
• Excellent team work / leadership skills
• High culinary sense
