Job Description

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Managing and inspiring a team of scientists
• Leading and providing scientific and technical guidance to team members on the design and conduct of in-planta studies (lab and greenhouse) and cell-free enzymatic studies
• Deliver project milestones using science-based approaches
• Managing and providing technical oversight for internal or external contractor to assure the studies meet all scientific and industrial requirements
• Accountable for implementing innovative and creative approaches
• Planning and reviewing study protocols and reports
• Maintaining expertise in the current industry-standards

Required qualifications and experience:

• PhD in Plant Science or Protein Biochemistry or related field
• At least 5 years of demonstrated Industrial experience leading projects and teams, managing personnel and workload distribution
• Strong scientific background
• Proven ability to analyse and interpret complex data 
• Previous experience in a greenhouse environment is preferred
• Ability to translate business needs and priorities into sustainable R&D initiatives  
• Strong organisational skills to enable working on multiple projects and goals under time pressure and in a fast-changing environment
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Creative and motivated team player
