Shops is a new e-Commerce platform built by Meta. Sellers can share their products with Meta and create a Shop. After that anyone can open a Shop on Facebook or Instagram and buy from them.At some point Sellers want to get more people visiting their Shops and have more sales. They can pay for an ad, and we start showing their Shop and products across all Meta surfaces (Facebook, Instagram, etc.). We have already demonstrated that advertising through Shops on Meta is more efficient than business-as-usual ways of advertising. In 2023 we opened to General Availability and thousands of advertisers have started using this product and increasing their spending with us. Key piece of success for Shops Ads is keep delivering better results for advertisers, meaning make users enjoy Shops experience and be willing to make a purchase. The corner stone of this strategy is Personalization of Shops -- show right information, in the right time, in the right order to the right audience. Buyers Personalization Infra team is building all the required foundation to enable this personalizationBy joining this team, you will get a deep exposure to the Ads and e-Commerce world and will help scale brand new products into the market while building and growing the team and influencing team direction and strategy.This position is in our Tel-Aviv office.

Software Engineering Manager, Shops Ads Buyer Personalisation Infra Responsibilities:

• Be a product-oriented leader, an effective people manager and provide valuable technical guidance
• Mentor and support engineers' growth and success, help them to find and focus on their strengths
• Champion engineering and operational excellence, establishing metrics and process for regular assessment and improvement.
• Communicate across functions like data science and product management, and drive engineering initiatives
• Facilitate technical design discussions, help guide resolutions
• Define and influence product strategy for your team and contribute to that of the org
• Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven track record of supporting technical teams
• Strong problem solving skills and background in coding
• Demonstrated ability to manage technical teams
• Knowledge of growing teams and/or organisations
• Experience supporting product engineering teams
• BS / MS in Computer Science (In lieu of degree, relevant work experience)

• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
• Be willing to travel and collaborate with teams and partners in the US and UK
