Backend Team Leader

DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for an experienced, impact-driven software engineer to lead one of the feature teams within our Tel Aviv-based R&D team. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end feature delivery while combining your hands-on leadership skills together with providing guidance and support to your team members.

What will you do?

Your mission is to own features from design to production while leading and expanding a team of talented Software Engineers, Quality Engineers and Data Analysts. You will collaborate with colleagues to solve complex problems, prioritize deliverables, and overcome design challenges. Additionally, you will drive technical excellence, ensure high product quality, foster innovation, and facilitate timely delivery within an agile environment. Your close partnership with Product Management, R&D, and other stakeholders will span from ideation to delivering tangible customer value.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of experience in leading R&D teams in fast paced environments
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering
• Solid proficiency in modern Java/C++/C#
• Experience developing large, scalable, distributed information systems using a microservices architecture.
• Mastery of high-performance, reentrant, and efficient code
• Competency working with state-of-the-art source control management and CI tools.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
• Team player, mentor, strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Computer Science degree(s) from leading universities and/or technological intelligence units graduate

Nice to have skills:

• Java and Spring (boot) proficiency
• Experience with cloud frameworks such as Kafka, Cassandra, Redis, Elasticsearch and S3/Blob
• Familiarity with “supporting” languages like Python, shell scripting.
• A general understanding of the Finance field.
• Experience with open-source frameworks such as Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus and Grafana
