Social Media and Growth Operation Manager

Filo Systems, a venture-backed startup at the forefront of data compression innovation, 

is on the lookout for a Social Media Manager to take charge of its social media launch plan and evolving growth operations. We're seeking an all-around player who can operate as 

a one-person team, to plan, execute, and deliver rapid and tangible results.

Responsibilities:

Research and development

• Conduct research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences.
• Analyse data to identify opportunities for engagement and growth.

Strategy Development

• Design and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the startup's business goals and brand identity.
• Create content calendars and posting schedules for various social media platforms.

Content Creation and Curation

• Develop and curate engaging content, including text, images, videos, and other multimedia assets.
• Ensure content is tailored for different platforms and target audiences.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
• Identify emerging platforms and technologies to incorporate into the social media strategy.

Community Management

• Respond to comments, messages, and interactions in a timely and professional manner.
• Potentially: Nurture a community of data compression enthusiasts and early adopters of our technology.

Campaign Management

• Plan, execute, and monitor social media ad campaigns, newsletter-based campaigns, social reach-out campaigns, etc.
• Optimise campaigns for budget efficiency and audience reach.

Engagement

• Increase social media followers, likes, shares, and overall engagement.
• Implement growth strategies, such as influencer partnerships or collaborations.

Monitoring and Reporting

• Track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of social media activity.
• Generate regular reports on social media performance, including allocated budgets, ROI, and suggested optimizations/changes in plan.

Collaboration

• Work closely with marketing, sales, and other stakeholders, to ensure cohesive branding and messaging, accurate targeting and expected conversion, overall ROI, and more.
• Collaborate with external partners, agencies, or influencers as needed.

Requirements and Skills

• Demonstrated work experience as a Social Media Manager.
• Demonstrated work experience as a Growth Manager.
• Proficient in content management.
• Exceptional copywriting skills and content creation skills (videos inc).
• Proficiency in design for ongoing social media management, including creating images for posts and newsletters, using tools like Canva and other design platforms.
• Strong understanding of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics.
• Deep familiarity with various online marketing channels.
• Deep familiarity with various marketing tools.
• Flexibility and readiness to pivot strategies based on real-time data, feedback and other company decisions.
• Ability to react fast and quickly to negative situations.
