Security Researcher

The company, a prominent player in the cybersecurity industry with a vast clientele, is in search of a highly skilled and motivated senior Security Researcher to lead the organization's security research efforts. In this role, as a Senior Security Researcher, you will be responsible for detecting and scrutinizing emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack methodologies. You will collaborate closely with our product management, product development, and operational teams to enhance the security of our products and safeguard our customers. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough research to identify and analyze the most current security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
• Analyze data and attack data gathered from our numerous customers to discover opportunities to reinforce security policies.
• Stay updated on emerging trends, industry standards, and best practices in the cybersecurity domain, and actively contribute to the development of innovative security solutions.
• Execute penetration testing to identify areas for enhancing security policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to formulate and implement effective security measures.
• Issue security updates for customers and monitor their effectiveness.
• Assist in responding to attacks, comprehending their nature, and creating pertinent protective measures.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, offering guidance and support to other teams within the organization.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in web application security is mandatory.
• Profound comprehension of web application security, computer networks, protocols, systems security, and cloud security.
• Sound knowledge of prevalent attack vectors, security vulnerabilities, threat modeling, and advanced threat-hunting methodologies.
• Familiarity with security assessment tools and techniques, including vulnerability scanners, penetration testing frameworks, and network analysis tools.
• Possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Knowledge of common hacking tools and techniques.
• Mandatory experience in translating findings into actionable detection signatures and other security policy recommendations.
• Proficiency in analyzing cyberattacks.
• Competence in programming languages like Python, C/C++, or Java.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a creative thinking capacity.
• Self-motivated and adept at working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Possession of relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, OSCP) is a plus.
