About the Team

The CTO Office is Zenity’s core discovery engine, dedicated to navigating the rapid evolution in AI agent security and “building the lighthouse.” We are a high-agency team of ICs with integrated Engineering, Research, and Product mindsets. Our mission: incubate new ideas, define the approach to emerging attack classes, and build working POCs that prove technical reality.

Guided by the CTO, Product, and GTM, we validate hard, open problems and actively support the Product organization by opening new development paths and seamlessly handing over advanced capabilities through research, prototyping, and customer validation.

Responsibilities:

• Take an ambiguous security challenge from "this might be possible" to a working POC that proves the Zenity approach, grounded in technical reality.
• Research the customer need, cybersecurity gap, and technical feasibility behind an idea before and while you build.
• Own the end-to-end execution loop: scope the problem, build the prototype, evaluate it, document the approach, and ship it.
• Partner closely with Product, R&D, and GTM. Don’t just write about emerging problems. POC the solutions so customers see something real.
• Make the calls on architecture, tooling, and tradeoffs, moving quickly from ambiguity to a tangible prototype.
• When a POC succeeds, lead the transition to Engineering and Product so it can receive the resources required for productization.
• Stay ahead of the rapid evolution in AI and proactively bring relevant insights into the team.

Requirements

• Technical execution. Substantial hands-on experience in Engineering or Security Research. You can investigate an unfamiliar problem, form a point of view, and build the solution to prove it works.
• AI. Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI agents. You understand how they work, where they fail, and how to reason about them. You are fluent with AI-assisted coding.
• Cybersecurity. Strong understanding of attack paths and defensive controls. You can earn credibility with researchers and engineers alike through technical leadership.
• Product mindset. You can hold “is this the right thing to build?” in tension with “is this technically feasible?” and decide both. You care about what pain a capability solves.
• Agency. Comfortable starting from a blank page, working without a spec, and being the one who defines what “done” looks like. You move fast and tell the story.
• Communication. You can explain your reasoning, present prototypes to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and document the work well enough for others to continue it.
