The Director of Product Marketing plays a vital role in shaping and executing SysAid’s product marketing strategy. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will lead a team of highly engaged, high-performing, and passionate product marketers. Under your leadership, the product marketing team will synthesize market, product, and competitive insights to drive the business to its full revenue potential.
As Product Marketing Director you will oversee and own a wide range of product-related activities including product strategy, competitive analysis, pricing, and product differentiation. Your primary focus will be on effectively positioning SysAid’s products based on market research and developing compelling messaging and collateral in support of seamless product launches.
At the intersection of product management, sales, customer success, professional services, and marketing you will closely collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to drive awareness, demand, and adoption of SysAid’s offerings. Your success will be measured by your ability to inspire the team and infuse their work with valuable insights and knowledge about the market, our customers, and the competition.
Responsibilities
- Lead a Product Marketing team that operates as an elite unit responsible for building and executing yearly and quarterly plans. Manage the budget and staffing while aligning priorities and initiatives with the company's overall objectives and strategy.
- Develop Go-To-Market GTM plans and strategy, plan and execute new product launches (NPIs). Function as the bridge between the product and the market.
- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify customer needs, industry trends, and growth opportunities. Also manage competitive intelligence to drive company strategy and support sales - from understanding competitive trends, creating differentiators, and training teams to effectively conduct objection handling.
- Define product value propositions, messaging, and positioning, including customer pain points, differentiators, market trends, competitive segment analysis, and objection handling. Translate product capabilities into customer value and benefits that resonate with the target audience and buyer personas.
- Work in a fast-paced product environment and support the product team across all aspects of product lifecycle management including ongoing product updates, feature enhancements, and end-of-life decisions.
- As a bridge between the product and marketing teams, you will be involved in strategic product planning and roadmap development that aligns marketing efforts with the overall product strategy.
- You will be involved in developing and adjusting pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness.
- Work effectively and collaborate with other leaders in the organization from Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing. Independently and collaboratively drive initiatives forward, from A to Z.
- Support Sales and Customer Success through sales tools, training, and collaterals such as customer references and case studies to ensure their ability to effectively position and sell our products. You will also be creating sales training programs, conducting sales enablement sessions, and providing ongoing support to ensure the sales team is well-equipped to sell the product effectively.
- Create thought leadership and content strategy while collaborating with and supporting Brand Marketing and Demand-Generation Marketing efforts.
- Establish customer adoption programs to drive retention, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities.
- Manage analyst relations, fostering strong relationships and leveraging their insights to drive business growth and enhance market positioning.
Requirements:
- You have 5+ years in global B2B SaaS with proven expertise in product marketing, and at least 2+ years in a leadership position. Experience in ITSM is a huge advantage!
- Strategy is in your DNA, you are a long-term thinker and excellent at analyzing markets, trends, and the competitive landscape. You can easily digest comprehensive knowledge and identify patterns.
- You are business-oriented, driven by outcomes, and a master at translating strategy into a detailed action plan with clear KPIs.
- You understand the technology and embrace the challenge of taking a complex product to market. You are adept at translating technological concepts and terms into compelling messaging and stories that resonate from a business standpoint.
- You are customer-focused and experienced in leading customer meetings, providing demos, and delivering roadmap presentations.
- Experienced in building strong relationships with peers and stakeholders across sales, marketing, product, and CS.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex messaging. You know how to leverage both quantitative and qualitative research tools to conduct practical analysis and build business cases.
- You are a native English speaker.
- Some travel will be required.
