We are looking for a talented Software Development Team Lead to join the ride. At Toluna, development team leads have the technical depth to take on and provide technical leadership to big initiatives but they also manage a team of software developers. The team lead is responsible for the quality of the code delivered to our clients but also for the development, efficiency, and motivation of the team.

Responsibilities:

As a team lead you will drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment. You will work with other teams or functions like product, DevOps, designers, and QA to plan, execute and deliver complex technical solutions. Your role will be to coach your team but also to ensure the quality and the timeliness of the deliverables.

We expect the team lead to be able to deal with conflicts, organize talent and keep motivation high in the team, solve complex technical problems and be able to compromise for our clients, and make optimal decisions based on time, budget, and people constraints.

Requirements:

You are a passionate and strong communicator, you know how to summarize and explain, and you are always available to help and respond to requests. You are expected to be knowledgeable in the technologies used and the architecture of your component and the overall platform. You have strong leadership skills and you can lead engineers who are more senior than you, architects, but also junior engineers on their way to learning. You are a great collaborator for the other teams and functions and you like to solve problems.

Additional requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of technical leadership experience.
• 5+ years experience of one in C#, Java, and Python.

Nice to have:

• Experience with large-scale Web systems.
• Experience with a cloud platform such as AWS.
• Experience with international teams.
