Software Technical Lead

Bruker Nano Surfaces & Metrology “BNSM” division is the leader in X-ray metrology / inspection and other tools for the silicon and compound semiconductor industries. As the leading supplier of advanced X-ray solutions to the top semiconductor companies, we have a global presence with offices in Israel (Migdal Ha’Emek), UK (Durham), and USA (San Jose), as well as sales and support offices worldwide.

We have an immediate opening in Israel for a Senior Software Engineer in our Software department.

Responsibilities:

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Software Technical Lead, you will

Drive the technical direction of the software team, including design decisions, technological advancements, and group best practices
Coordinate resource planning within the team, including subcontractors, set priorities, and oversee day-to-day development activities
Collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams (such as system, hardware, and product management)
Mentor junior developers and newly hired
Contribute through hands-on development to deliver high-quality software solutions

International Travel might be required.

Maintain existing and create new applications for our customers worldwide, ensuring reliability, performance, and alignment with customer needs
Be fully aligned with other disciplines, such as project management, applications team, field support and production integrators
Deliver on time and with high quality
Demonstrate strong professionalism and a high level of technical knowledge
Work with subcontractors where necessary, providing direction, support and documentation
Communicate clearly and concisely – verbal and in writing (in English)
Qualifications:
A. or B.Sc degree in Computer Science or a related field
At least 5 years of hands-on experience writing in C# / .Net
At least 2 years of experience as a technical lead
Experience in mixed C++ and managed code
Experience with industry standard tools such as: MS Visual Studio 2019/2022, Git, TFS
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, good presentation skills
