Role Summary

Having recently been acquired by Advent International, Sapiens is on an ambitious growth trajectory. In order to achieve this Sapiens is aligning its global operating model, strengthening its technology foundations, and embedding intelligent automation across all functions.

The IT Director will play a pivotal role in leading Sapiens’ evolution toward a unified, scalable, and intelligent organisation.

The IT Director will manage a global team and own the strategic back-office IT applications suite, as well as the IT service management operations. Working alongside the Technology Transformation Lead, this role will facilitate the strategic replacement or optimisation of all back-office tools and transition into an efficient BAU operating model that is primed for continuous improvement. They will drive simplification, standardisation and automation, strengthening the company’s digital core, leveraging AI and driving adoption across a global organisation to enable Sapiens’ vision and goal achievement.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

· Facilitate delivery of Sapiens’ global IT and digital transformation strategy.

· Design and implement IT policies, standards, architectures, and roadmaps.

· Ensure alignment between business needs and global IT capabilities.

Operational Excellence

· Oversee all technology operations globally, including application management and administration, IT service management and security operations.

· Ensure global service quality, system availability, and operational resilience.

· Collaborate closely with the CISO on cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and business continuity.

· Foster a culture of continuous improvement (Kaizen)

Technology Modernisation & Automation

· Drive modernisation, standardisation, and simplification of systems and processes.

· Pursue AI and automation initiatives that improve productivity and employee experience.

Business Partnership

· Harmonise an ecosystem of integrated applications across all business functions, ensuring a robust single source of truth exists for critical data

· Continuously monitor the landscape for optimisation and rationalisation opportunities

· Partner with business leaders to deliver scalable solutions that drive efficiency and support growth.

· Ensure data integrity, governance, and access to reliable business insights.

Financial & Vendor Management

· Lead global vendor strategy, procurement and cost optimisation.

· Manage IT budget, ensuring smart, cost-effective investments in equipment, software, and services.

· Ensure smart and efficient utilisation of IT assets and services.

Team Leadership

· Manage a team of application leads, security operations and IT service desk across multiple regions and sites.

Requirements

· 10+ years in IT leadership, including 5+ years in a senior enterprise or divisional technology leadership role.

· Proven experience in senior IT leadership roles within global technology-driven companies.

· Proven success delivering technology transformation, harmonising and standardising complex system landscapes across multiple regions.

· Strong record of driving automation, digitalisation, and AI adoption to improve productivity and employee experience.

· Demonstrated success in running secure, stable IT operations and leading modernization initiatives.

· Familiarity with applications like Salesforce, HubSpot, ServiceNow, Jira, NetSuite, HiBob, PowerBI preferred

· Strong budget management, negotiation and vendor management experience.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

· Fluent English; willingness to travel internationally.
