General Summary:

We are seeking a hands‑on Staff RFIC Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design of Qualcomm’s next‑generation cellular transceiver and RF front‑end products. The Staff RFIC Engineer is a senior technical role focused on RF/analog circuit design , requiring deep technical expertise, strong ownership, and effective collaboration across multiple engineering groups to deliver high‑performance, high‑volume RFICs.

What You’ll Do

Lead hands‑on design of RF/analog/mixed‑signal circuits for cellular transceivers (LNAs, mixers, VCO/PLLs, gain/AGC stages, baseband analog blocks).

Own block‑level implementation: schematics, advanced RF/AMS simulations, EM extraction, corner and yield analysis, and layout collaboration.

Develop and validate behavioral/system‑level models (Verilog‑A/MS, MATLAB) to support architecture and modem‑RF integration.

Drive silicon bring‑up, RF characterization, simulation correlation, and resolution of performance issues.

Work closely with system, modem, packaging, FE module, digital, and product engineering teams to optimize end‑to‑end RF performance and support high‑volume production.

Minimum Qualifications

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (required).

Master’s degree preferred , particularly with specialization in RF/Analog IC design.

5+ years of hands‑on RFIC or mixed‑signal IC circuit design experience , including multiple production tape‑outs.

Strong experience with Cadence Virtuoso, SpectreRF, EM simulation tools, MATLAB, and RF lab equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generators, noise figure instruments).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cellular wireless products (LTE, 5G NR) – strong advantage.

Knowledge of 3GPP RF requirements, blockers, coexistence issues, linearity/noise tradeoffs, and RF calibration methods.

Experience with RFIC and RF front‑end module co‑design for mobile platforms.

Publications or patents in RFIC design are an advantage.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
