The Role
We are looking for a strategic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our direct ads team. This is a core role for someone who brings deep industry know-how, global agency connections, and demand-side expertise and who knows how to build and execute business plans.
You’ll help us transform our media sales operation by bringing the tools, relationships, and actionable insights needed to grow direct ad revenue. You'll play a hands-on role in shaping and scaling our direct ad business, translating strategy into real-world results and sustainable revenue growth, one that connects us with the right agencies, sales houses, and direct brands across multiple global markets.
This is a mission-critical position reporting directly to the CRO. You will not only help us expand, but play a fundamental role in shaping the future of Moovit’s advertising business.
Responsibilities
Act as the internal media strategy and execution lead, bringing proven industry knowledge, tactics, and structure to upskill our existing ads operation
Identify new growth markets and lead go-to-market strategies to penetrate them via agencies, sales houses, and direct advertisers and take full ownership of initiatives from idea to execution, follow-up, and revenue results.
Use your global network to open doors directly or through intermediaries in new regions where Moovit lacks presence and build strategic relationships with leading media buyers, planners, and agency decision-makers
Work directly with sales and account teams to help win and grow accounts, monitor campaign performance, optimize results, and meet commercial goals
Requirements
5+ years of experience in online media, digital advertising, or ad tech with a strong focus on the demand side (advertiser acquisition, agency relations, or direct sales)
Experience as partnerships manager, or business development in an online media company, DSP, ad network, or media agency
Proven success in closing large advertising deals and managing campaigns with significant budgets (6–7 figures annually)
Well-connected across sales houses, media agencies, and brand advertisers, especially those active in global markets
Deep understanding of how agencies plan, buy, and optimize media, both programmatic and direct
Strategic and structured thinker who can translate plans into action and revenue
Comfortable working independently and taking full ownership of growth initiatives
Fluent in business English; Spanish fluency is an advantage
