Demand Forecasting Manager

Responsibilities:

– Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Category, Marketing and Customer Finance to understand demand forecast drivers and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.

– Identify, interpret and articulate statistical forecast trends and support the realistic forecast for NPIs

– Coordinates cross functional teams to deliver sales gap closing opporunities as required

– Acts as unbiased and neutral Business Partner to General Manager, Finance, and Commercial Team Leads

– Performs the Volume Forecast Release in the system as well as the relevant market intelligence to facilitate optimal inventory levels to support the business

– Works with Finance Business Partner to convert the Volume into Value Forecast (in Net Sales), and arrive at an updated P&L

– Works with Supply Planning Hub and with local Supply Chain Team to address supply gaps

– Participates with the LOC and with the Market SC Team in the planning and move-out activities for the short-dated or excessive stocks to avoid write-offs

– Update KPI’s and dashboards to drive action plans and continuous improvement

– Proactively identify and escalate demand plan risks and opportunities

– Build the Demand Planning tools to analyse forecast and monitor performance

– Perform root cause analysis of demand issues and provide permanent resolutions.

– Maintain demand planning systems

Job Requirements:

Core Requirements:

– Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree

– Minimum 3 years of experience in Commercial Sales / Marketing / Demand Forecasting / Finance operations in a Healthcare/ FMCG environment

– In depth knowledge of Demand Forecasting in a Healthcare/FMCG environment

– Very high level of proficiency in MS Excel

Preferred Requirements:

– Strong planning ability & able to work on own initiative

– Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with ability to lead cross functional teams

– Qualification in a supply chain related discipline, logistics, supply management, demand management, operational management or MBA is desirable

– American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certification is an advantage

– Highly numerate and good knowledge of supply chain forecasting / trade spend software systems and processes. Knowledge of SAP APO is an advantage
