We are looking for a Senior Back-end Software Engineer to join our R&D team in Israel.

This candidate will be part of a Global R&D team with team members in Sweden, Canada, India and Australia. The successful candidate will be an individual contributor with current software development and architecture experience on enterprise class software applications and products.

Responsibilities include:

Developing server-side code in C, Java or C#
Participating as a team member in an agile team (planning, estimation, execution…)
Working with product managers, quality assurance engineers and user experience designers to build the best products for our customers
Interacting with the documentation teams to clearly describe the system features and functionality.

Our Development Organization

Our development Organization is responsible for researching, developing, and delivering Qlik Replicate according to requirements that come into R&D from marketing. Optimized for databases, data warehouses, Hadoop and cloud targets, Qlik Replicate provides high-performance end-to-end data replication and loading of data, managed by an intuitive web-based console.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will:

Work closely with development on testing new functionalities for existing product(s)
Ensure our products meet the established standards of quality including, reliability, usability and performance
Identify, report product issues and verify their resolution.
Work as part of the Quality Assurance team which consist of highly motivated and energetic professionals.
Work with the different agile teams and with R&D Support on understanding customer requirements.

Qualifications

At least 2 years’ experience testing software products
Knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of QA
Excellent system analysis skills
Strong technology background and understanding of different architectures.
Proven ability to work well with others in a fast paced, iterative product definition and development environment.
Fast learner with an ability to pick up new ideas and approaches quickly.
Ability to communicate and express thoughts and ideas in a group.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to react quickly to changing requirements due to product limitations or enterprise needs.
B.Sc. in Computer Science or related field - advantage

Technical Knowledge:

Windows/Linux - Must
SQL language, database systems - Must
Python/Perl/Shell - Scripting language and/or C#/JAVA - programming language - Advantage
High Availability and database clusters - Advantage
Networking - Advantage
