Your Impact:
The Financial Analyst (FA) will have responsibilities for controllership functions for some of Open Text European entities. The FA will be an integral part of the accounting cycle, providing support to the Global Finance team, assisting in accounting and financial reporting activities as well as regional requirements for the particular legal entities in the DACH countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). The FA will be a key member of the European finance team, managing traditional controllership responsibilities, in addition to being a significant contributor to the consolidated US GAAP close.

Performing monthly analytic review of the US GAAP closePerforming analytical review of period end financial results.Responding to monthly questions from management on the balance sheet and P review.Reviewing account reconciliations and promoting best practices with Accounting Services to ensure proper accounting and controls are in place.Supporting the tax group in the preparation of the annual tax returnAssisting with commodity and income tax auditsPreparation of local GAAP financial statementsProviding support during statutory audits as part of the year-end review processPreparation of working schedules for the external auditorsProviding local support to the business for matters pertaining to the DACH region

What you need to succeed
2+ years of experience in a finance role, preferably in a technology companyExperience with general Controllership duties listed aboveStrong collaboration and organizational skillsCapable of working independently, multi-tasking to establish priorities, and completing objectives without supervision in a fast-paced environmentExcellent oral and written English communication skills. German language skills are considered a major asset. Knowledge and application of European VAT regulation considered an asset.Experience in SAP, Great Plains, Oracle and BPC is an asset.
