QA Automation Engineer

As a QA Automation Engineer at Rekor, you will be responsible for adding functionality to our test automation framework, building tools to help with the testing process, and creating automated tests to expedite development efforts, empowering Rekor to confidently and quickly deliver solutions to our customers.

Responsibilities:

Translate product requirements into test cases.
Design and implement test plans.
Document defects promptly and thoroughly.
Help debug and diagnose code issues.
Develop and maintain automated test suites to improve coverage.
Configure CI/CD systems.
Architect and integrate new solutions into in-house automation SDK.
Teach peers automation best practices.
Document new features, functionality, and procedures in an internal wiki to help others.
Run manual test cases for products that do not yet have automated coverage.
Identify areas that need additional test coverage.
Lead, develop, inspire, and motivate a diverse, inclusive, multidisciplinary, and high performing collaborative team through learning and development to enable a growth-mindset for all team members.
REQUIREMENTS
2+ years of test automation experience
Ability to write code (Java)
Experience with tools & frameworks: Spring, Selenium, Junit
Knowledge of REST APIs and crud functionality
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies
Strong test case management and documentation skills
Strong analytic capabilities
Self-motivated with the ability to find productive work without direction
Strong desire to learn and improve processes
High English level (this position will be reporting to the Director of QA, US based)

Advantage:

Experience with Postman, collection runners, and scripting
Strong understanding of source control workflows
Knowledge of design patterns: Page Object Model, Factory Pattern, etc.
Experience writing tests for parallel execution
Experience with AWS and/or Azure
Experience with Linux (preferably Ubuntu) and basic commands
Experience with Docker containers
Basic understanding of computer hardware
Basic networking knowledge
