Senior Applied Researcher – Computer Vision & AI

About us PixelSight develops AI vision technology for one of the hardest problems in perception: detecting and identifying threats (drones, boats and other targets) at the edge of what's visible, often when they are a single pixel in the frame. We're past the prototype stage: our systems are deployed in the field with paying customers, and they are saving lives today. We're looking for a senior applied researcher to own a core research domain: lead the research, and see it through to the deployed system. Work as part of a strong research team, with real ownership and direct influence on the product. Responsibilities Own a vision/AI domain end-to-end: from problem definition through research to integration in the live system. Develop new algorithms and improve existing ones, with measured impact on system performance. Design and run experiments, analyze results, and iterate quickly, with AI agents doing much of the coding. Collaborate with a tight team of senior researchers and strong engineers. Requirements: Around 5 years of CV/DL industry experience, from research into production. Track record of owning hard problems end-to-end, from problem definition to a working result. Strong experimental instincts: designs clean experiments, and reads results honestly. Solid Python and PyTorch, comfortable inside a real codebase rather than only notebooks. Cares about the data lifecycle: collection, validation, test methodology. Works with AI coding agents, or is eager to make them a main way of working. Curiosity, independence, and a collaborative mindset.
