The research group of Oren Tal is seeking a highly qualified and self-motivated individual with a PhD for the position of Staff Scientist.
The successful candidate will collaborate with our Israeli and international group members on scientific projects, improve experimental setups, optionally develop data analysis techniques, and participate in writing scientific publications.
Using atomic and molecular conductors
The Tal group conducts experimental studies on atomic-scale electronic transport, nanoscale energy conversion, molecular machines, and the novel material properties that emerge at reduced dimensions.
השכלה וכישורים נדרשים:
Fluent in English
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong self-learning abilities and natural curiosity
PhD in physics, chemical physics, or materials science
Proficiency in MATLAB programming (experience with LabVIEW is a plus)
Significant experience with electrical measurements and electronics
Experience with software-hardware interfaces
Experience with microfabrication is advantageous
Experience with ultra-high vacuum and/or cryogenics is advantageous
Minimum of two years of experience in academia or industry is advantageous
