QA Team Leader

DESCRIPTION

SuperCom is looking for a highly motivated and experienced QA Team Leader to manage and guide our QA Testing Team, which specializes in both automation and manual testing.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing testing processes, managing day-to-day activities, mentoring QA engineers, and ensuring high-quality deliverables. You will lead by example and contribute to the success of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by ensuring optimal test coverage, accurate defect management, and fostering a high-performance team culture. You will collaborate closely with development, product management, and other cross-functional teams to continuously improve testing strategies and methodologies.

Responsibilities

· Lead and Manage a QA Team: Supervise and mentor a team of automation and manual testers, providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth.

· Test Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies, including both manual and automated testing, to ensure software quality and reliability.

· Automation Development: Oversee the design, development, and execution of automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit).

· Manual Testing Oversight: Ensure effective manual testing, focusing on functional validation, exploratory testing, and end-user scenarios.

· Test Planning and Reporting: Define test requirements, create detailed test plans, and track testing progress while providing clear reports to stakeholders.

· Defect Tracking and Resolution: Manage the defect life cycle by ensuring accurate identification, documentation, tracking, and resolution of issues in a timely manner.

· Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with development, product management, and business teams to align testing efforts with project goals and release schedules.

· Mentoring & Coaching: Provide ongoing training, performance evaluations, and career development opportunities to QA team members, fostering a high-performance culture.

· Process Optimization and Best Practices: Champion the adoption of testing best practices, enhance workflows, and ensure the efficient use of tools and methodologies within the team.

· Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, updating them on testing progress, risks, and challenges to ensure alignment with project timelines.

REQUIREMENTS

· A BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field – a major advantage

· 3+ years of experience leading QA teams.

· 5+ years of overall QA experience in a multidisciplinary environment.

· Proven leadership experience in a QA team, with expertise in both automation and manual testing.

· Hands-on experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar frameworks.

· Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.

· Deep understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

· Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team while working cross-functionally.

· Experience in defining test strategies, creating test plans, and managing QA operations.

· Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating test automation into the development process.

· Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

· Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner), cloud-based testing (AWS, Azure), and relevant certifications (ISTQB, Scrum Master) – an advantage
