Position: Manager EHR & Data Analytics GRMDC

Location: Greater Roslindale Medical and Dental Center, 4199 Washington Street, Roslindale, MA, 02131

Eligible to telecommute 1 day/week from a home office within normal commuting distance of main site in Roslindale, MA

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Responsible for managing the daily operations for all applications related to the EHR and BI tools, including the development, maintenance, support and enhancement of multiple business applications.
Collaborate with Boston Medical Center staff, vendors, ITS colleagues and other stakeholders to identify user requirements, access available applications and technologies, develop detailed specifications, and evaluate and recommend solution options.
Responsible for system analysis, design, workflows, configuration, testing, implementation, application & end-user support, and issue resolution.
Stay current with new application functionality and service pack enhancements.
Responsible for reporting and data analyses, including setting up data management and reporting for the Center.
Interpret data, analyze results and provides ongoing reports that informs business strategies, supports management of business processes and drives quality improvement initiatives.
Contribute to data integrity efforts, governance, data structure standards and policies.
Assess system modifications and project viability and recommend solutions to meet user needs within vendor/application/technology.
Maintain a current understanding of strategic business initiatives and how they relate to IT goals and objectives, and ensure that as projects are implemented, BMC goals and strategic initiatives are among the constant drivers and project guidelines.
Manage the coordination and completion of projects involving the maintenance, planning, design and implementation of EHR and BI tools.
Achieve and maintain required Epic® or applicable EHR certifications.
Create and deliver management reports and dashboards to support routine management oversight of business processes and quality improvement initiatives.
Provide trends in data that inform business strategies and improve business processes and procedures.
Generate/Customize reports and perform quality assurance checks on reports.
Monitor and report to leadership the status of projects and efforts. Anticipate and identify issues proactively and identify and implement corrective actions.
When applicable, review and approve recommendations related to Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFIs).
Conduct one-on-one and large-group training sessions using dynamic, creative training tools.
Prepare and present formal presentations to both internal and external audiences.
Ensure the Manager/Leadership team, Enterprise Electronic Health Records and relevant staff are kept updated and are involved in projects as appropriate.
Facilitate software upgrades with vendors.
Ensure applications and projects meet BMC technical requirements, security, and constraints.
During emergency operations may be required to report to work or remain at work.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, health informatics, data analytics or analytically related field.

2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of experience using health information technology or leading industry Electronic Health Records (i.e., Epic, Cerner, Meditech) or ancillary clinical system. The stated experience must include: (1) 2 years performing data analysis and exploration, visualizations, dashboards and reports, database design, Cubes and data modeling; and (2) 2 years using Windows, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, BI tools (e.g. Business Object Reporting, Tableau and SQL coding) and Microsoft SQL server.
