Data Insights & Analytics Lead

We are looking for a Data Insights & Analytics Manager who will develop a deep understanding of data generated by Lumenis' global installed base of connected medical devices, combine it with enterprise data, and translate it into insights and tools that create value for our customers and the business. 

The role goes beyond reporting and dashboard creation. We are looking for someone who is naturally curious, proactively explores data, identifies patterns and opportunities, and drives the organization to act on what the data reveals. Importantly, the role is expected to uncover broader customer, commercial, and business insights by connecting IoT data with enterprise and other relevant data sources - not only insights derived from device data itself. 

Main Duties:

This is a highly hands-on analytics role at the intersection of data, technology and business, requiring both strong analytical capabilities and a product mindset. 

1. Data Foundation & BI 

• Develop a deep understanding of Lumenis' IoT data ecosystem, including device-generated events, data structures, business logic, and KPI definitions, and work hands-on with data across AWS and enterprise data sources. 
• Partner closely with the BI team to define data requirements, maintain trusted metrics and data models, and continuously improve data quality, reliability, and usability. 
• Identify and help incorporate relevant AI-enabled solutions into the data infrastructure and analytics ecosystem to improve how data is processed, analyzed, explored, and translated into actionable insights. 
• Independently design, build, maintain, and continuously improve dashboards and analytics solutions in Amazon Quick. 

2. Analytics & Insights 

You will be expected not only to answer business questions with data, but to identify the questions we should be asking. 

• Proactively explore complex IoT, enterprise, customer, and business datasets to uncover meaningful trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities. 
• Connect insights across multiple data sources to build a broader understanding of customer behavior, business performance, and commercial opportunities - going beyond IoT or product-usage insights alone. 
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and proactively bring relevant findings to the business. 

3. Business & Commercial Analytics 

• Partner with commercial teams to leverage data for customer engagement, strengthen sales narratives, and develop data-driven sales tools. 
• Develop compelling, evidence-based data stories and commercial narratives for internal and external audiences. 
• Measure the impact of data-driven initiatives and continuously refine them based on results. 

4. Data Activation & Adoption 

• Drive adoption of analytics tools and dashboards across the organization. 
• Train and enable business users to effectively interpret and use data in their day-to-day work. 
• Proactively communicate relevant insights to stakeholders rather than relying solely on self-service dashboards. 
• Act as an internal advocate for data-driven ways of working and continuously identify new ways data can create value for customers and the business.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a similar role. 
• Strong SQL skills and the ability to independently explore and analyze complex datasets. 
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining dashboards and analytics products using QuickSight, Power BI, Qlik, or similar BI platforms. 
• Ability to understand complex data structures, relationships, business logic, and KPI definitions. 
• Strong analytical curiosity and demonstrated ability to independently uncover meaningful insights from data. 
• Strong business acumen and ability to connect analytical findings across IoT, customer, commercial, and enterprise data to business opportunities and actions. 
• Excellent data visualization and storytelling skills. 
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. 
• Ability to drive adoption and influence behavior without formal authority. 
• Highly proactive, independent, and comfortable operating in an evolving data environment. 

Advantage :

• Experience working with IoT, connected-device, or product-usage data. 
• Experience with AWS, S3, Amazon QuickSight, and/or Qlik. 
• Experience working with Salesforce and/or SAP data. 
• Experience in medical devices, healthcare, SaaS, or another business with a large connected installed base. 
• Experience with customer-engagement or commercial analytics. 
• Experience applying AI/ML or generative AI solutions within data infrastructure, analytics workflows, or business intelligence. 
• Python or other analytical programming experience. 
• Experience working in a global organization. 

What Success Looks Like :

Success will not be measured by the number of dashboards created. 

Success means that Lumenis' IoT and enterprise data become active business assets: 

• Business and commercial teams actively use data and analytics in their regular workflows and customer engagements. 
• New customer, commercial, and business insights and opportunities are proactively identified by connecting IoT data with enterprise and other relevant data sources, rather than only in response to business requests. 
• AI-enabled capabilities are thoughtfully incorporated where they can strengthen the data and analytics ecosystem and accelerate the creation of meaningful insights. 
• Analytics products are trusted, adopted, and continuously improved based on business needs and user feedback. 
• Data-driven tools and narratives create measurable value for customers and commercial teams. 
• Insights lead to tangible actions and measurable business impact.
