Principal Engineer

Zero Networks is a B2B fast-growing cyber security start-up that fixes the root cause of most successful cyberattacks with a simple, fully automated platform for zero trust segmentation and remote access. We are seeking a talented and highly experienced Principal Engineer to join our dynamic team and report to the CTO. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead advanced technical initiatives in cybersecurity software development while also engaging in hands-on technical work.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
8-10 years of experience in software development, with a proven record of delivering innovative solutions on complex and data-centric systems.
Experience with cloud services (GCP - advantage).
Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
Strong leadership skills, with experience leading or coordinating technical initiatives within a development team.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and efficiently.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Go/C#/C++ programming languages - advantage
Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices - advantage

Responsibilities:

Lead and design technical processes within the development team, focusing on planning, executing, and implementing advanced and complex software solutions.
Conducting code reviews and technical mentorship to experienced software engineers.
Take a fundamental part in designing our development processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development team.
50% of hands-on technical and software development work, focusing on core innovative new products and features.
Ownership of new products and features development end-to-end (from design to production).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Customer Engineering, and Sales Managers, to ensure successful execution of R&D initiatives.
