Cloud Technical Expert

Description

As a Cloud Technical Expert, you will be a pivotal member of our team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions. You will leverage your deep technical knowledge of cloud platforms and services to support our organization's cloud infrastructure and projects. This role requires a strong foundation in cloud architecture, hands-on experience with cloud technologies, and the ability to provide expert guidance and support to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture and Design:

Design scalable and secure cloud architectures that meet business requirements and align with best practices for reliability, availability, and performance.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate cloud services, tools, and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) based on project needs and organizational goals.
Develop architecture blueprints, diagrams, and documentation to guide implementation and ensure adherence to standards.

Implementation and Integration:

Lead the implementation and configuration of cloud solutions, ensuring smooth deployment and integration with existing systems and applications.
Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications for cloud environments, leveraging platform-as-a-service (PaaS) and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) offerings.
Automate provisioning, deployment, and management tasks using cloud orchestration and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

Serve as a subject matter expert for cloud technologies, providing technical guidance and support to resolve complex issues and performance bottlenecks.
Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, security, and capacity, implementing proactive measures to optimize resource utilization and cost-efficiency.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for incidents, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.

Security and Compliance:

Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance controls within cloud environments, addressing vulnerabilities and ensuring data protection.
Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and vulnerability scans, recommending and implementing remediation measures as necessary.
Stay informed about emerging threats and industry trends in cloud security, applying knowledge to enhance organizational security posture.

Training and Knowledge Sharing:

Provide mentorship and training to junior team members on cloud technologies, architecture principles, and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate knowledge sharing and promote adoption of cloud-native solutions and DevOps practices.
Contribute to the development of technical documentation, guides, and training materials for internal teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) preferred.
Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in designing, implementing, and supporting cloud solutions in enterprise environments.
In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) with hands-on experience in cloud architecture, networking, security, and storage.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive resolution.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
