We’re looking for a Director of R&D to lead and scale our engineering organization — a strategic and hands-on leader who can drive product innovation, technical excellence, and operational efficiency.

This role is a unique opportunity to influence the company’s technology, build high-performing teams, and directly impact the direction of our technology.

What You'll Do:

Lead and mentor 3 R&D teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance
Define the technical strategy in alignment with business goals, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability of our products
Drive end-to-end product development – from ideation and design through implementation, QA, and deployment
Collaborate closely with the CTO, Product, and other executive leaders to shape the technology roadmap and ensure alignment with company strategy
Establish engineering best practices, including code quality standards, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and agile processes
Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent to build a robust, distributed R&D organization
Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning within the teams
Be a hands-on leader: develop complex and efficient client-based agents and on-prem components, including highly secured client-to-server communication

Requirements:

What You’ll bring with you:

8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in leadership roles managing multiple teams
Proven experience in designing and developing backend micro-services in Node.js / Python / Rust / C++, preferably in high-scale
Strong technical background in cybersecurity, web technologies, cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), and SaaS architectures
Proven experience in scaling engineering teams and building high-performing R&D organizations
Strategic thinker with excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Passion for driving technical excellence while delivering business value
Ability to navigate and resolve complex technical challenges, demonstrating autonomy, top-notch design, and high-quality execution
Highly motivated and self-learner
B.Sc. Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent knowledge

Nice to have but not a must:

A cyber-related knowledge from the industry or from a relevant military unit
A start-up working experience, preferably in early stages
