About the Research Team

The Research team plays a central role in developing Cyera’s data security platform. This multidisciplinary group includes data science, machine learning, data engineering, and data research professionals working together to build the AI-driven capabilities that power Cyera’s platform. The team is responsible for designing scalable models, data pipelines, and analytical frameworks that enhance data classification, risk assessment, and scale enablement.

The team’s work directly shapes Cyera’s intellectual property, contributing to the company’s leadership in AI-driven data security.

About the Role

We are looking for a Data Science Team Lead to guide the development of AI and machine learning models that support Cyera’s data security platform. This role involves leading a team of data scientists, overseeing end-to-end model development, and working closely with machine learning engineers, data engineers, and security researchers.

You will be responsible for designing LLMs and GenAI models that process, classify, and analyze large-scale structured and unstructured data. The role requires balancing hands-on technical work with strategic leadership, ensuring that models are scalable, efficient, and production-ready. Your contributions will be central to Cyera’s research and intellectual property, helping define the future of AI in data security.

As part of the Research Leads Forum, you will collaborate with other technical leaders to set research priorities, align methodologies, and drive innovation across the organization.

What You’ll Do

Lead a data science team, providing technical direction and mentorship.
Drive end-to-end machine learning model development, from research to production.
Design and optimize LLMs and GenAI models for data classification and security applications.
Establish best practices for model evaluation, versioning, and continuous improvement.
Work with data engineers and ML engineers to develop scalable data pipelines and deployment frameworks.
Contribute to Cyera’s intellectual property, ensuring AI-driven security models remain a key differentiator.

Requirements:

Must-Haves

7+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on ML model development and deployment.
2+ years of experience leading teams in a research or engineering environment.
Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering practical and efficient AI solutions.
Expertise in LLMs, GenAI, and NLP, with experience deploying models at scale.
Familiarity with MLOps practices and cloud-based AI deployment.
Experience working in big data environments, handling large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.

Nice-to-Haves

MSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience in data security, compliance, or enterprise data protection.
Contributions to AI research publications or experience with patent development.
