VP Finance and Accounting

The VP of Finance & Accounting will play a critical leadership role in Papaya Global’s scalable growth , overseeing all financial operations, building a high-performing team, and driving strong compliance and reporting frameworks. This is an opportunity to shape the financial backbone of a high-growth fintech company and work closely with the executive team to drive financial excellence.

Key Responsibilities

IPO Preparation & Financial Strategy

• Oversee financial reporting & disclosures aligned with public company standards.
Financial Operations, Process & Control Implementation
• Establish robust internal controls, SOX compliance, and risk management frameworks.
• Implement automated financial processes for efficiency and scalability.
• Ensure tax compliance, global financial reporting, and regulatory adherence.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Build and mentor a world-class Finance & Accounting team.
Partner with CEO, CFO, and Leadership to drive financial strategy and execution.
Work closely with Legal, Product, and Operations to optimize financial workflows.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting.
Ensure GAAP compliance and accurate consolidation across international entities.
Manage relationships with external auditors and regulators.

Requirements:

10+ years in senior finance roles, preferably in high-growth fintech, SaaS, or global payments.
Proven IPO experience, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance knowledge.
Strong expertise in financial controls, Financial systems , and accounting operations.
Experience leading cross-border finance teams in a multinational environment.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
