VP Finance

SkyGini is a technology-driven digital travel agency on a mission to make booking flights and hotels simpler, smarter, and fairer.

We are growing rapidly, already operating at significant transaction and payment volumes in Israel, and preparing to expand into additional international markets. Behind every booking, charge, refund, and supplier payment is a complex financial operation - and managing it well is one of the key capabilities that will power our next stage of growth.

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced, commercially minded, and hands-on VP Finance to lead SkyGini’s finance function end to end.

This role is for someone who sees finance as a business engine, not only a reporting function: someone who wants to understand where the money is moving, what is likely to happen next, where the risks and opportunities lie, and how finance can create tangible value for the business.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution. The VP Finance will be a member of the executive team, report directly to the CEO, and be expected to both lead key decisions and work directly with the models, data, systems, and processes behind them.

What you will do:

• Lead SkyGini’s finance function end to end as a member of the executive team and a close partner to the CEO.
• Own cash flow and liquidity management, optimize returns on cash balances, and build policies that balance yield, availability, and risk.
• Optimize working capital, payment terms, settlement cycles, credit facilities, and foreign-exchange exposure.
• Own payment processing and reconciliation across banks, card acquirers, payment providers, customers, and suppliers.
• Build rolling cash-flow forecasts, budgets, and operating plans, and maintain rigorous budget-versus-actual control.
• Translate financial data into business insights, profitability analysis, scenarios, and performance metrics for management.
• Lead financial and accounting reporting, monthly and annual close processes, tax, VAT, and audits.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, authorities, card companies, and financial service providers.
• Build and continuously improve financial systems, processes, controls, and automation.
• Manage and develop the finance team and oversee the company’s outsourced finance providers.
• Identify and manage financial and operational risks as the company scales across markets.

What we are looking for:

• 8–12 years of finance experience, including at least 3–5 years in a senior role with significant ownership of cash flow, liquidity, and finance operations.
• Hands-on experience managing cash flow, payment processing, reconciliations, and financial controls in a high-volume transaction environment.
• Experience in a complex financial operation; backgrounds in e-commerce, marketplaces, fintech, or similarly transaction-intensive businesses are highly relevant.
• Strong business judgment and the ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution and attention to detail.
• Deep understanding of financial reporting, accounting, tax, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong analytical capabilities, high personal accountability, and sound decision-making in a fast-moving environment.
• Proven ability to lead people, develop internal talent, and work effectively with external providers.
• Comfort with technology, data, and automation, together with the ability to adopt new systems and tools quickly.
• Fluent Hebrew and English.

Significant advantages:

• Experience in travel, online travel, or Travel-Tech.
• CPA qualification.
• Experience with international, multi-currency operations.
• Experience building or implementing financial systems and processes in a growing company.

Location and working model:

Our offices are located in the Ramat Gan Diamond Exchange district, within walking distance of the train station. We work four days a week from the office and one day from home.
