As our team expands, we're looking for a hands-on Head of Engineering to lead our talented group of engineers and take our technical infrastructure to the next level.

Role Overview:

The Head of Engineering will lead the engineering team in building and maintaining high-performance trading systems. This hands-on role includes overseeing system design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance, with a focus on low-latency and reliability. You'll be responsible for managing team growth and fostering a collaborative, self-motivated culture while aligning technical efforts with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the engineering team in designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining high-frequency trading systems.
Act as a hands-on technical contributor, particularly in system architecture and C++ development.
Oversee and improve systems for network optimization, latency reduction, and data integrity.
Collaborate closely with the CTO and other stakeholders to align technical priorities with business goals.
Manage team expansion, hiring, onboarding, and mentorship, driving high quality performance and professional growth, and fostering a collaborative and self-motivated culture.
Ensure high standards for system reliability, security, and performance through rigorous testing and monitoring.
Participate in hybrid work, demonstrating a strong self-motivation and accountability.

Required Qualifications:

A BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in building, maintaining, and scaling systems (experience with trading/financial systems - highly desirable).
Strong proficiency in C++ development and hands-on coding ability.
Background in systems and networking, particularly within high-frequency or low-latency trading environments.
Experience leading an engineering team with a track record of growing and managing team members.
Familiarity with digital assets and related trading environments (highly desirable).
Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and adaptability in a hybrid work environment.
