Engineering Team Lead- Core Experience

Description:

We are looking for a Backend Team Lead to lead our App & Integration team, which builds and maintains the shared backend infrastructure that powers Pango's products.

Our development teams work across different product domains, and the App & Integration team provides the core services they all rely on. These include authentication, API gateway, session management, SMS services, and driver and vehicle systems.

This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on backend architecture, security, and scalability. You will lead and mentor a team of engineers, drive technical excellence, and work closely with other development teams to build reliable and secure solutions used across Pango.

• Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers, fostering technical growth and career development.
• Own the architecture, design, and implementation of backend services for Core Experience.
• Ensure high system reliability, scalability, and performance in a high-volume production environment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Mobile, Data, and Infrastructure teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
• Align team roadmap with business goals, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience, including at least 2+ years in a technical leadership or management role.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems, high-scale architectures, and backend frameworks.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools and Coding Agents to accelerate development .
• Excellent communication, "Can-Do" Attitude and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of databases, API design, and system integrations.
• Strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in fintech, mobility, or transactional systems is an advantage.
